One of my personal struggles is with being an “all-or-nothing” human being. I’d rather not do something if I can’t commit to it fully and without reservation. But as most of us know, that’s not an easy way to live in the modern world where time is always limited and judgement calls are often a shade of gray rather than strictly black or white.

There are so many positive things and people in this world, I consider myself blessed and fortunate. However, we will all experience different challenges in our journey of life, and this past week our community experienced an incredible challenge.

On April 23, 2019, Mass Mutual quoted Scott Arnold, our IMPACTfolio portfolio manager, in an article focusing on investors who wish to promote businesses led by women or companies that endorse gender equality and inclusiveness. He contributes to the article saying "Impact investing can be really just a better way to invest. There is still that false perception that you have to sacrifice returns to align your portfolio with your values, but a multitude of studies have now been released that show you may get the same returns or better."
